About Us

For over 15 years, we’ve been helping organisations create the kind of work environments you’d want for the people you care about: inclusive, fair, and with opportunities for all.

We do this through coaching and development programmes that fuel lasting culture change. Our expert coaches empower under-represented talent and their leaders, creating the kind of self-awareness that improves the way people work together. 

Our Story

Talking Talent was founded by Chris Parke and Jo Lyon in 2005. They shared a vision – to make a difference to how women experience corporate life.

As business psychologists, the couple couldn’t understand why leadership solutions weren’t being tailored to better support under-represented talent. They knew organisations could enhance performance by increasing the number of women in senior leadership, and they set out to make that happen.

Brilliance in diversity

In the beginning, Talking Talent focused on increasing the retention of women coming back after maternity leave. In 2007, this focus extended to include all working parents and carers.

In the years since, the company has expanded its mission to include inclusion and equity for all under-represented talent. This isn’t an add-on but a natural extension of its core expertise.
