Today I’m writing on a topic close to home - the celebration of the modern-day father.

The modern-day father comes in various forms and is no longer always the traditional breadwinner and disciplinarian. He can be single or married; work in an office or stay-at-home; older or younger, gay or straight; an adoptive or step-dad. No matter what our situation is, sometimes being a modern-day father is HARD.

Two-thirds of working parents feel worn out by work

Two-thirds of working parents feel worn out by work and the environment in which they work in, according to a new report.

The research, conducted by Talking Talent to coincides with Men’s Health Week, found that more working dads felt worn out compared to working mums and those without children.

This is probably one of the easiest areas for us to connect to, and by making some small changes we can see an enormous difference to our energy levels.

Let’s consider, when we’re running through flight safety on a plane we’re told to put on our own oxygen masks before tending to others. We need to understand that if we’re not in a good place ourselves, we’re of very little use to others.
