Megan Walls
With 20 years in the municipal bond industry at Hutchinson, Shockey, Erley & Company, Megan brings high-level business experience and financial expertise to her second career as a certified professional coach and PCC.
At HSE, Megan started on the ground floor and rose to eventually become the firm’s first female partner, with a personal gross sales record that went from $0 to $1mm over the course of her career. In addition to working in institutional sales and service, Megan trained new hires and fostered close cross-function relationships at HSE to facilitate business growth. As well as mentoring her co-workers through career challenges, Megan was instrumental in shaping HSE’s first maternity policy. At the time Megan became pregnant with her first child, the firm had no policy in place.
Megan’s work as a coach is further enhanced by personal experience in the process of transition. In 2005, Megan left HSE to correct a work/life imbalance and allow her to spend more time with her two children. Finding retirement extremely difficult, Megan sought guidance in coaching. She discovered in herself a passion for helping others benefit from her insights into what it takes to build a successful, long-term career in today’s challenging and competitive business environment. She strives to help her clients toward clarity, growth and leadership in the life they envision for themselves.
Megan coaches individuals, groups and gives presentations and workshops, and brings an insider’s understanding to coaching clients in areas such as: finance, banking, futures, risk management, law, insurance, education, energy and consumer goods.
