Maria Martinez

 

Maria Martinez has over ten years of experience motivating individuals and teams toward greater achievement and higher performance working in both private and government sectors. Combining a business mindset with her coaching abilities, Maria is driven to provide leaders and teams with the skills necessary to create action plans that support their individual and collective goals, missions and values.  She provides writing and coaching to women in the areas of Leadership & Performance, Personal Branding and Goal Setting.
 

She is referred to as dynamic, energetic and driven. While working for ACS State and Local Solutions, Maria lead her team to #2 in the state. This project entailed team coaching toward competency and achievement of goals as set by local and state guidelines. Fluent in English and Spanish; Maria is able to lead, facilitate and coach in both languages. Cognizant of the changes and challenges of today's diverse workforce, Maria is skillful at interacting with members across all levels of the organization. Entrusted with leading the Hispanic Worker Committee of Females in a prior role, she was able to elevate key issues and provide extra support to the Spanish speaking employees.
 

Passionate about diversity in the workplace, Maria obtained a Master's Degree in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. In addition to holding the designation of Workforce Development Professional she has also received Public Manager certification through Florida State University. Through the Tampa Bay Professional Coaches Association (TBPCA), working in partnership with The University of South Florida, she is part of a cadre of coaches working to imbed a coaching culture within the university.
 

She is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation and a graduate of the Institute for Life Coach Training.  Maria is an active member of the American Business Women's Association where she is part of the leadership team and a member of the Puerto Rico/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is also involved in a leadership capacity in her local Toastmaster's Club, BNI and The TBPCA.  In addition to that, she is an Army veteran who provides career counseling and support to fellow veterans in all sectors.
