Women Outnumber Men in US Workforce
Over 800,000 more women than men are on January 2010 payrolls in the US. The result is not so much that more women are working but that more men have been made redundant in the economic downturn. The payroll result doesn't include many farmworkers and manual labour so it is still true that the US workforce is still predominantly male. However, it does show that the last two generations of women have become much more career focused than previous generations. Click here to read more.
