US Navy closer to having females
Officials announced yesterday that women will be able to serve on US navy submarines. The US Army's chief of staff General George Casey wants to change the restrictions put up on women about working on frontline combat roles and the congress now have 30 days to approve the measure. 15 pecent of US navy personnel are women and women have worked alongside men on surface ships and air crafts since 1993.
