Dr. Carola Hieker

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Carola obtained her university degree as Diplom-Psychologin (corresponding to M.A. in Psychology) and Dr. Phil (corresponding to Ph.D. in Psychology.) She also completed a Diploma in Systemic Management at Birbeck University. Carola is certified in NLP, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Systemic Consulting and qualified to interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Firo B, and the Leadership Effectiveness Analyses as a 360’ FB tool. In addition, she is accredited in the use of Hogans Personality Inventory , Hogan Development Survey (HDS) as well as Hogan Motives, Values and Preferences Inventory (MVPI)  .
Her publication in the International Coaching Psychology Review details on reflexive questions in a coaching psychology context.

After conducting HR-research for 3 years at university on HR-Strategy and Training in Industry and Banking, Carola started as an internal consultant with Tengelmann, a major German retail supermarket chain. She went on to spearhead the companies HR development activities, leading a team of 15 people as Head of Personnel Development.

She then moved on to PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), first in Frankfurt and later in London as an internal as well as an external HR consultant. 2001, she decided to leave PwC and build up her own consultancy business. In 2007 she co-founded Hilcoaching. Her client list includes Booz&Co, Permira, Deutsche Bank, Daimler Chrysler, Dresdner Kleinwort Investmentbank, EMC, Cranfield University, S.J. Berwin, Deloitte UK, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Société Générale, Archon, Goldman Sachs, NokiaSiemensNetwork, Vodafone, M&G Investments; Marsh & McLennan; Roche and Novartis. She is able to coach fluently in either English or German.
On a personal note she is married with 3 girls and enjoys yoga and mountain biking.
